Vandalia Butler Citizens for Education

Demmitt opened in 1957 (addition in 1964) and has educated thousands of Vandalia and Butler Township students in its more than 65 year history. Over time, it housed many different grades and is currently a K-3 building educating just under 400 students today. The school is a Purple Star designated Military Friendly school, representing schools which show a major commitment to the students and families of our nation’s armed services. The current principal is Mr. Garry Martin.
